Did you know that we have all the tools and materials required to do linoleum block printing at Hive13?
For those who don't know, block printing is a method of printing many copies of a design by carving the design in a linoleum block, applying ink to the block, and then transferring the ink to paper or fabric.
I will be teaching a class on how to do the whole process on Saturday October 16th, 2021, 1:00-3:00PM.
The class will have a materials fee of $5 to cover the cost of a 4" x 6" linoleum block, printing ink, and paper. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so that I can be sure to have enough materials on hand.

Retro Gaming Night! July 7th

Open to anyone who wants to appreciate, learn about, and play some retro video games.
This event, we will be focusing on the Nintendo Entertainment System, and the games and accessories that go along with it. We can also discuss topics such as why Bubble Bobble was the apex of human civilization. Or why technological limitations caused Mario to have a mustache.
We will have some original consoles around to play with so it isn't just talking about why a 35 year old video game console is still alive and loved.

Hive13 quiet for a while....

In light of the rapidly escalating COVID-19 pandemic Hive13 leadership is taking action to help protect its members and ensure we are doing our part to prevent the spread of the disease.
Effective immediately Hive13 Tuesday evening public meetings will cancelled. These changes/cancellations will be in effect until the virus situation is under control.
Members are currently free to continue to use the space with the understanding that, as always, they assume the risks of being there including contracting the COVID-19 virus from others. We also wish to remind members of our stance on "Being Excellent To Each Other" which ALWAYS implies staying away from Hive13 when you pose a health risk to others. While at Hive13 please take all recommended precautions including washing hands, cleaning surfaces, and limiting direct contact with each other. For those of us that do wish for social interactions during this time, all members are encouraged to discuss all things making related on Slack and the mailing list.

nAre you interested in building or racing a drone? Brad Whitmore has been building and racing FPV drones or quadcopters for the past 3 years. He will cover the basics of how to get started and share stories from regional and national competitions. We can discuss the rules and regulations of the hobby. He can also help you get connected with some of the local and regional racing groups and where to buy drone racing components locally and online.
