Power Tool Drag Racing (PTDR) setup test May 6 10:00a-3:00p

By Brad Walsh on

Let's test out the PTDR stuff this Saturday!

We have the first PTDR event Friday May 19th at Building Value (just up the street) from 7:00-11:00pm.
We should check out all the gear to make sure we don't need to fix or order anything.
We will need to get the stuff down from the pallet shelving and assemble the mini track to test the electronics/lights/signs.

Might even run some racers just to make sure everything works. :)

•Substantial shoes (no sandals or open toe) Hot metal chips can hurt.

•Long hair pulled back in a ponytail.

•No hand jewelry (rings, watches).

•Eye protection (safety glasses can be provided).

•Prefer no long sleeves, they can be rolled up though.

•Idea is to not have anything to catch on the spinning tool/part and pull you into the process.

Meet out newest electronic tools April 1 2017 12:00-2:00

Brad Walsh will be giving a "hands on" talk to introduce our newest additions to the electronics area; Rigol DS1054Z oscilloscope and a Rigol DG1022 function generator. These new purchases bring us into the modern age. (If the logic analyzer arrives we may even talk about that also).

Eventbrite link:

No charge for this talk, but you get what you pay for. This will just be basic oscilloscope operation and we will examine some simple circuits.
